Today we decided to assemble some of the front end. We basically painted the handlebars, cleaned the levers, and began to rebuild a front headlight.
Parts that i still need:

Good to see the restoration. I’m in the middle of a SP370 restoration. It’s scaled out of hand a bit though and I have spent a fortune at cmsnl. I got NOS of almost everything. Other bits that were not availble I got from Ebay USA. There climate is much better and most ship to the UK. I got a really decent set of unmarked fork with yokes etc.. for $25. The shipping cost £60 but they were a bargain. Got lots of bits I couldnt buy new. Might be worth looking (assuming they had that model in USA). The only bit I’m struggling with now is my petrol tank. Thought the tank was good but just discovered a bit of rust in the corner with a pinhole. I’m hoping I can get someone brave enough to weld it.
